Ministries

We have a variety of ministries to meet the needs of different ages and groups within the church and community.

Sunday Service

We come together each Sunday for Sunday Morning Worship. 

10.30am ‘Into the Bible’ service lasting around an hour:  with worship and an in depth 25-30 minute talk

Our worship aims to be simple, sincere and lively, with good music and faithful preaching from God’s Word, the Bible.  Communion is normally held on the last Sunday of the month at the ‘Into The bible Service’.

During the service creche is available every Sunday except for the second Sunday. The younger children are invited, on the first and fourth Sundays to join in Searchlight and on the third Sunday Kidz worship is available. While GRID is offered to the teens on the First and fourth Sundays each month.

Come along and bring your children – don’t worry about them making a noise – everyone else’s do and we are very informal!

On the second Sunday of the month we normally hold a FAMILY SERVICE at 10.30am which aims to minister to all ages in a relaxed informal style with a quiz, occasional video, while exploring a biblical theme together

On Sunday Evenings we currently have a video and discussion starting at 6.30pm.

HOME GROUPS

There are currently four home groups which meet around the town. One meets each Wednesday evening in Church, another meets in a home on Thursday evening. The other two are a Ladies’ Bible Study Group (Thursdays 10.30am) and a Men’s Bible Study Group (Thursdays 10.30am) which meet during daytime at the church. Please speak to one of our leaders for contact details.

We would encourage all who are able to consider joining one of our small groups, for mutual care and building up in fellowship, prayer and Bible study. Please be aware that Bible Study will not take place during the month of August.

PRAYER

We hold a prayer meeting every Saturday at the church between 9-10am, when we pray for the concerns of the church and the wider world.

There is early evening prayer on Tuesday on Zoom from 7pm – 7.30pm.

Each month we hold a corporate prayer meeting (or communication meeting and prayer meeting) on either the last Thursday evening of each month (8pm – 9.15pm),

Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry at ABC is intended to give the women at the church an opportunity to develop and deepen friendships, encourage one another in their faith and provide opportunities to invite female family and friends to relaxed occasions. We aim to do this by spending time together in a varied range of activities. These are at different times and places over the course of the year in the hope that everyone will be able to come to some, if not all, the events.
